Emmaus Sunday May 14 Update: By God’s Grace

The seventh Emmaus Sunday on May 14, took a hit from the Mother’s day euphoria and about half of our regular community members showed up. Nevertheless there was no shortage of joy and relationship building as volunteers shared a cake with the community members. Certainly the teachers are getting comfortable conversing with the guests beyond classroom subjects. Please continue praying for our volunteers to be filled with wisdom by God’s Grace.

The program managers, Ceri Purcell, Brian Purcell, and Steve Machungo, have started planning for the July 2, fun event “Canada Day Weekend Pancake. Our young person Junior Ruhigisha has accepted to help with these plans. Stay tuned, there will be enough opportunity for all of us to get involved, be it walking our neighbourhood to invite community members, flipping pancakes for them, or others.

These REACH Initiative events, plus others to come, will continue using “Kingsway Instructional Centre” banner. By God’s Grace, we plan to popularize this brand to our community as we continue journeying together.
