Welcome to the Edmonton Central SDA Church!
Welcome to the official website of the Edmonton Central Seventh-day Adventist Church (ECSDAC) – A Christian faith community preparing the world for the return of Jesus Christ. Edmonton Central is a multi-cultural church with people from all walks of life. It’s one of the vibrant Seventh-Day Adventist Churches in Edmonton, Canada and popularly known for being a place to belong, a place to worship and a place to serve God.
The church has grown over several decades from a handful of believers to a congregation of over 400 believers. The Church meets on Saturdays for fellowship and worship. The morning service starts at 9:15 am with a structured Bible lesson study (Sabbath School lessons study) followed by Praise and Worship and finishes around 12:15 pm. ECSDAC is led by Senior Pastor, John Wesley and Associate Pastor Enock D. Okwaro with support from Church Elders and Department (Ministry) Leaders.
Knowing, Loving, Sharing
The mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is to proclaim to all peoples the everlasting gospel in the context of the three angel’s messages of Revelation
We pursue this mission under the guidance of the Holy Spirit through:
Accepting Christ’s commission (Matthew 28:18-20), we proclaim to all the world the message of a loving God, most fully revealed in His Son’s reconciling ministry and atoning death. Recognising the Bible to be God’s infallible revelation of His will, we present its full message, including the second advent of Christ and the continuing authority of His Ten Commandment law with its reminder of the seventh-day Sabbath.
Acknowledging that development of mind and character is essential to God’s redemptive plan, we promote the growth of a mature understanding of God, His Word, and the created universe.
Affirming the biblical emphasis on the well-being of the whole person, we make the preservation of health and healing of the sick a priority and through our ministry to the poor and oppressed, co-operate with the Creator in His compassionate work of restoration.
